Gray’s feature length work has spanned both fiction projects and non-fiction documentaries - with his stylistic preference often lying somewhere in the middle of these two worlds. He’s based out of Cape Town, South Africa.

Films that he has shot have been selected at various local and international film festivals, some of which include: Venice Film Festival, International Film Festival Rotterdam, Santa Barbara International Film Festival, Stockholm International Film Festival, Hong Kong International Film Festival, Durban International Film Festival and Joburg Film Festival. He has been nominated for a SATFA for Best Cinematography.

Outside of shooting he also has a well known YouTube channel,In Depth Cine, which produces educational videos on cinematography and filmmaking.
